As I am unable to find any relevant information on Novell's site
for it's now deprecated line of products (I am presuming its okay to
talk Netware in here now since it isn't really 'supported'. I was wondering
if anyone knows of a location I might find rsync.nlm. Thx.

Chances are a good Google search will lead you to answers on the Novell
site. The very first return of a search for "latest rsync.nlm" in
Google returned a CoolSolutions article that, after following a few
links, led to the one Malcolm posted. I mention this only to show that
the information is still out there to find.

Also, there are still support forums for back to Netware 4x and even
older available in the support forums, so there are still places to ask
support questions for older products.

So here is not the place for Novell support, even for older products.
The place to ask is still in the support forums. : )

IC.

I would not have posted here at all except the links I kept turning up were
dead ends to non-existent Novell locations such as:

http://www.novell.com/developer/redirect.html?cpr-backup

I think you will find the bulk of the links in that Cool Solutions article
are broken.

Putting in rsync.nlm in the Novell search box puts you into Linux versions
of rsync.

I simply gave up out of frustration.

Hi
I reported the broken links... try
ftp://sdk.provo.novell.com/ndk/rsync/

If you come across broken links, use the 'feedback' link at the bottom
of the page.

Yes, there were a couple of broken links, but there was also one that
worked and got to the answer. Perhaps you need a vacation to decrease
your frustration level. : )

I see, so it's now up to the user to guess the links that work. In
actuality, I don't work for Novell Q/A, even though it does appear that way.
; ) Novell's site is starting to remind me of CA.

Try going to support.novell.com and put rsync.nlm in the search field.
It doesn't matter what else you select you're going to get:

No documents were found that match your search. Please try one of the
following suggestions:

Re-word your search <-- This one made no difference

Post your question into an online forum <--Note this is the option I
used(even though apparently the wrong one.

View additional resolution options <--none available

Same result searching download.novell.com. Even if the file was not
available standalone (which it actually is) there should be something
returned about its existence.

You can get 'some' information about issues that appear to have
popped up in the discussion forums, itemized as web links, but that's about
it. All in all I wasted over an hour searching and moaning about it here, so
I'm done with it. Not going to argue the point any further, but at this
point the sites are rubbish for finding relevant data.
