hello:

I found that there are still problems with my new macBook driver under SUSE.

I installed SLED 11 SP2 for my macBook Pro 10.8.2, and I recompiled the kernel to 3.6.2 which finnally lead to my touchpad, mouse, internal and external keyboard works well. However, I still have problems with the GPU driver. The new macBook Pro. have two GPU:

intel HD4000 and Nvidia GT 650M.

The kernel default driver is only good enough for normal display. If I try to run some software involved in openGL, it will claimed:


The system doesn't support openGL

or

Xlib: extension "GLX" mission on disply ":0.0"
freeglut (/home/my/software/run): openGL GLX extension not supported by display ':0.0'

The nvidia driver is installed automatically by SUSE when I update the system, and here is the xorg.conf in /etc/X11

I found that there are still problems with my new macBook driver under SUSE.


Such things are liable to happen when you attempt to run SLED on hardware it does not support by way of compiling your own custom kernel.
