Hi,

How do I make sure I have a list of fully functioning repositories so I can get an up to date patch list?

The server is running SLES10SP3 and has OES 2.0.3

The server is registered with Novell.

I'm finding this very frustrating!

Regards

Andy

See TID 7001199.

Basically for OES2 SP3 on SLES10 SP3 you should have two repos for each:
OES2-SP3-Pool & -Updates plus SLES10-SP3-Pool & -Updates.

Note that this is a SUSE support forum - since you have OES you should
really be posting to a Novell OES (Linux) support forum @

Hi Simon,

TBH I find it a little ambiguous on where to post for particular issues, there could be a lot of duplication and dilution of information if SLES problems are catered for by both the SLES and OES forums. I'll remember that next time though.

Thanks for the link, I've come across that one before and it doesn't address the issue I'm having. I did have repositories configured but I get error messages that the resources cannot be found (I am paraphrasing, I did this last week). After clicking through (when I either ignore or abort at the error prompts) the online update utility tells me there are no patches available. I have both OES2-SP3-Pool and OES2-SP3-Updates in the list of configured software catalogs. Is there a URL of a set of working sources I can just add to fix the problem or is something else at fault? - while trying to troubleshoot this I have found no end of different suggestions for this fault, I've tried some but nothing has worked yet, is there a definitive document on how to make sure software update is correctly configured from start to finish?

Regards,

Andy
