View Full Version : <Location> missing from YaST apache directives list

Trying to enable basic auth on apache2 SSL reverse-proxy, so I want to add a <Location /> block to contain the authentication directives. No sign of Location in the YaST dropdown, I can do a <Directory> block and edit the block contents OK, but no sign of <Location> or <Proxy> blocks. Can't use <Directory> because the request never hits the filesystem, being proxied unconditionally to another server.

It works fine manually, but if someone runs YaST, it wipes the <Location> block and removes authentication.

Is there a way to tell YaST that the <Location> directive exists, or a better way to get a virtual-server-wide authentication running SSL and ProxyPass?

<VirtualHost *:443>
SSLEngine on
SSLCertificateFile /etc/ssl/servercerts/servercert.pem
SSLCertificateKeyFile /etc/ssl/servercerts/serverkey.pem
ProxyPass / http://portal8080:8080
<Location />
AuthType Basic
AuthName "login auth"
AuthUserFile /etc/httpd/passwd/passwords
Require Valid-User
