Hi,

I have an installation of SLED on Dell Latitude with following details:-
Distributor ID: SUSE LINUX
Description: SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11 (x86_64)
Release: 11

I am facing two problems:-

1>Wireless fails to start if the switch is not kept on during boot time. Further if I switch it off it does not start again and reboot is required.

2>Laptop does not suspend to ram or suspend to disk. Of these suspend to ram is of crucial requirement for my work.

The log message while suspending the laptop is:

<--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have an installation of SLED on Dell Latitude with following details:-
Distributor ID: SUSE LINUX
Description: SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11 (x86_64)
Release: 11

That does not accurately describe which version of SLED you're using. (If I had to guess based on what you've posted I'd say SLED 11 which went End Of Life years ago. Currently version is SLED 11 SP3.) Could you post the output of this command?

$ cat /etc/*release*

Also it might help to give us more information about your hardware than 'Dell Latitude'. Dell have been using the Latitude brand since the 1990s ;) This will show what chipsets in in the machine

$ /sbin/lspci -knn

Hi
Thanks for the reply. I made a bad assumption thinking most of details being available in suspend.log file (without even reading carefully).
Thank you for pointing out.

Following are the details

$ cat /etc/*release*
SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11 (x86_64)
VERSION = 11
PATCHLEVEL = 3
SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11 (x86_64)
