Anyone else noticed that the latest cron package on SLES 11.3 ( cron-4.1-194.209.1 ) is ignoring changes to /etc/crontab ? (it now requires a cron restart or HUP when adding new entries ).

Hi irunisys,

I can confirm this. While I may have some success driving this via my SUSE contacts, a service request opened by you (as a customer) might give this more momentum... are you in a position to do so (and then send me the assigned SR number via PM)?

Regards,
Jens

Hi irunisys & all,

I've received feedback that the fix was already worked out and is on its way to release. Until then, whoever cannot live with restarting cron after updates to crontab, may open a SR to receive a PTF. (Any more acronyms I might put into that sentence? :D)

Regards,
Jens
