Hi,

i just installed a new system with SLES 12 with btrfs to get used to it.
What is the purpose of all these subdirectories under /.snapshot ? Many of them just include grub-snapshot.cfg, others include more files.
The principal purpose of snapshots is clear for me.

Thanks for any information.

Hi
Those are created by snapper for rolling back etc.

AFAIK it's a bug leaving the bootable btrfs snapshot cfg file behind (I
came across it once).

The ones that have files in are your snapshot files as per your
configuration in /etc/snapper/root/configs.
