Hi,

we have a problem with one of our fileserver (NFS). The system is exporting
stornext file systems via nfs(3). After some weeks one of the migration processes
is starting to take more and more cpu time.
The system is working stable, but our nagios is getting nervous about a process taking
so much cpu time.

Some time ago this bug was posted:
https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47341

But we have to identical NFS servers (same hardware, same software) and only ONE
is showing this behavior. However we can not change the kernel (-> stornext)...

Any idea ?

System: SLES 11 SP2, 3.0.13-0.27-default, x86_64

Hi Peer,

given the stated dependencies of your situation, your best bet to resolve the issue in accordance with your requirements might be opening a service request... if you have the proper support booked for SP2.

Jens
