Hello:

I've got a new laptop with only Intel i5-6200U CPU+ Intel® HD Graphics 520.

I've installed SLED 12 on this laptop and I noticed that the graphy of this OS is not so good. When I move the a program window I can see it lag behind very obviiously. Meanwhile, some program need better GPU support can be crashed very easily.. THis probbly because the driver is not so good. Since I updated to the latest driver from SLE repository, the situation become even worse.....

I am just wondering is there any good driver for this GPU?

thx a lot

Hi
AFAIK only in the newer kernels eg >= 4.X.X

So it is only single graphics?

/sbin/lspci -nnk |grep -EA2 'VGA|3D'

Can you confirm it's using SNA as well, maybe we can add the tear-free option...

journalctl -x|grep SNA

This is not a SLED 12 Driver problem, intel graphics tend to crash even with the correct drivers , on any system, especially when used with flash or 3D elements , sometimes you have to make extra configurations with visuals effects or test more than one driver by looking other components in the chip.
