Sandbox Maintenance Window (July 29th)
EDIT: Maintenance has been completed. Thank you for your patience!
Please let us know if you have any issues
Dear SUSE Developer Community,
Today we've got something special for you. On Wednesday this week, July 29th, we will be upgrading our CAP Developer Sandbox system to SUSE Cloud Application Platform version 2.0. Unfortunately, this means that your CAP developer sandbox will be unavailable in a 24h maintenance window that will start at 14:30 CEST (6:30 am PST), and end on Jul 30 at 14:30 CEST (6:30 am PST). We understand that this may cause inconvenience to you, and we have prepared extensively to minimise the impact as much as possible.
After the upgrade, you'll find everything the way you left it. Your sandbox credentials will remain valid without change, and your org and spaces within, as well as all running apps and existing database services will be migrated to the new system.
What's the benefit of the new version?
For us, the CAP 2.0 upgrade is a big deal, since it comes with a new Kubernetes Operator, which enables easier deployment and management of the Cloud Foundry-based platform on Kubernetes infrastructure. In a nutshell, this will help us make sure the system remains always responsive as our user base grows. For more details, please refer to the following resources on the CAP 2.0 release:

However from an application development standpoint, the upgrade is not a big deal actually. The developer experience largely stays the same. Most important change from a developer perspective is that CAP 2.0 brings newer versions of the upstream build packs:
Please note that your applications might need version bumps to maintain compatibility with those new versions.
There are also a couple of enhancements to the Stratos Web UI that we will talk about in more detail at a later point.
Where can I find help if I get stuck on something?
