evdev driver for mouse with absolute mode

Hi All,
I need my mouse to get recognised as absolute.
By default it is relative, please help me with configurations to change it to absolute.

OS Details.
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 (x86_64)
VERSION = 11
PATCHLEVEL = 1
X.Org X Server 1.6.5

    Hi
    Is a /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-evdev.conf file present? I'm assuming this is a touchscreen device? If it's not present it's likely lurking in the package you installed and just needs to be copied to the above location and configured as required. If it is present, can you post the contents.

    Did you install the driver from source, or is there a xf86-input-evdev package available (11 SP1 is so old...)?
