  1. Chaning from Azure RHEL subscription to SUSE BYOS model

    Hi,

Do you know whether its possible to change a Red Hat Enterprise Linux virtual machine on Azure with a Marketplace image (License Managed by Azure) to SUSE Bring Your Own Subscription (BYOS) Licensing model, without impacting the application running on the server?
If yes, could you direct me to some documentation around it?

    Thanks & Regards,
    Sreekanth

Sorry, no. That is not an option.

First you cannot convert an on-demand instance that includes charges for the content of the image into a BYOL instance for that content. SSsecond there is no in-place upgrade from RHEL to SLES.

You may consider machinery [1] [2] to help you build an equivalent system based on SLES.

    Robert
