I really couldn't follow what you were asking very well. Could you try
to ask without running your questions all together into a single
    sentence?

The documentation is pretty comprehensive - as I said before, I haven't
seen any tutorials for SUSE Studio because it isn't that difficult to use.

But if you can ask clear and precise questions, I'm sure someone will be
    able to help you.

Pick a basic distro template you want to work with. You can add any special package(s) you want, including whatever GUI(s) you choose to use. The in the Live View / Test Drive you can install and set up arbitrary packages, set your preferred GUI as the default, whatever......... and any changes you make in the Live View ( or Test Drive ) you can keep as a layer of changes to your project. <== The most powerful feature of SuSE Studio if the Test Drive. Use it!

SuSE Studio is like The Matrix. No one can be told what The Matrix is. Its not like you can make any mistakes and be voted off SuSE Studio Island. Go in, play around, RTF(riendly)M as needed, and come back here and ask specific questions as desired.

It's possible, sure. It's easier, though, if you package it as an RPM
and either upload the RPM to the testdrive or if you build it in OBS (the
build service) and import it from your own repository.

Is there something specific that you need in the newest kernel?
