Sure, have built many KMP's for my home systems

So, can you provide the hardware details (as in pci id's ) and also the
kernel your wanting to use and what is currently used.

So on the current kernel, can your run;
uname -a
/sbin/lspci -nnk
And post the output between code tags, then can see if the kernel
supports the drier without having to do anything.

For example I have backported my wireless driver for this notebook
from the 3.1.x kernel.
