# 11.4 python 2.7

Hi. I have old 11.4 version. I cant upgrade it. I need to install git, perl5 and python 2.7. I cant find repos for that. Can anyone help with this please ? .

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 (i586)  
VERSION = 11  
PATCHLEVEL = 4

Hi and welcome to the Forum 🙂  
Well might be old, but still updates (even LTSS) available if system is registered?

So do you have the SLE 11 SP4 SDK (DVD1) available as some items might be there?

Else you might need to look at the openSUSE build service, but totally unsupported (and may break something…)

There is no git on DVD  
when i try

```auto
zypper addrepo http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.4/repo/oss/ oss
```

i got:

downgrade of perl-satsolver-0.44.5-0.5.194.i586 to perl-satsolver-0.16.1-4.7.1.i586  
deinstallation of subscription-tools-1.0-0.21.1.noarch  
downgrade of hplip-hpijs-3.11.10-0.6.11.1.i586 to hplip-hpijs-3.11.1-6.1.i586  
downgrade of satsolver-tools-0.17.9-0.5.2.i586 to satsolver-tools-0.16.1-4.7.1.i586  
downgrade of python-satsolver-0.44.5-0.5.194.i586 to python-satsolver-0.16.1-4.7.1.i586  
downgrade of libzypp-9.38.8-0.7.1.i586 to libzypp-8.12.1-3.3.i586

Choose from above solutions by number or cancel [1/2/3/c] (c):

Hi  
openSUSE 11.4 IS NOT SLES 11 SP4… don’t do that you will break your  
system…

(Note have been following the openSUSE Forum thread as well 😉 )

Download the SDK for 32bit and add this as a local repository selecting  
the iso image as the source via YaST Software Repositories.

To clarify what Malcolm said above, you can download the SDK for 32-bit  
SLES11 SP4 or you can add the on-line repository for the same as per TID  
7015337[1].
