# Access Control Documentation Query

Hi,

I was trying to set up access control in my set up. I could easily set up GitHub.

Then I went back to reviewing the doc at [http://docs.rancher.com/rancher/configuration/access-control/](http://docs.rancher.com/rancher/configuration/access-control/).

The ENABLING ACCESS CONTROL section states that there is Settings link on the red banner, which I am unable to locate. there is no red banner in my set up !

Is it something wrong with the way I am trying ?

There’s an “x” to hide the banner that you or someone else probably clicked… You can get to it under the admin header -\> access control.

Thank you. I was able to access the Access Control option under the Admin tab.

It seems like the red banner appears only if no access control has been configured. I have already configured GitHub so probably the banner just disappeared ! guessing.
