# Adding Windows Hosts Best Practices

I am trying to add a Windows host to RancherOS with little success. I am able to add a Windows host however the network containers continuously restart and eventually stop. Is there a guide I can follow for adding a Windows host in a virtualized environment such as Hyper-V. I have been following this guide [Creating Windows Environments in v1.6.13 · rancher/rancher Wiki · GitHub](https://github.com/rancher/rancher/wiki/Creating-Windows-Environments-in--v1.6.13#adding-hosts-into-rancher). Do I need to have two subnets if I am just testing in Hyper-V? Setting up hosts in Linux is much simpler. Any advice to point me in the right direction will be great.
