Hi
At the grub screen you can add the option edd=off and see if the vm
will then boot.

What virtualization are you using for the vm?

Hi malcolmlewis, tks for reply!

I’m using VMWare vCenter Server 5.5.0.

You can edit grub before the system starts: [https://www.suse.com/documentation/sles11/book\_sle\_admin/data/sec\_grub\_basic.html#sec\_grub\_menu\_change](https://www.suse.com/documentation/sles11/book_sle_admin/data/sec_grub_basic.html#sec_grub_menu_change)
