Hello,

As per this article - [https://www.suse.com/c/opensuse-leap-step-by-step-guide-installing-on-your-virtualized-environment/](https://www.suse.com/c/opensuse-leap-step-by-step-guide-installing-on-your-virtualized-environment/)

we are migrating the Cent OS 7 to Open SUSE, but we are getting error PFB ref.

Please further on this.

@AbhishekReddy Hi, AFAIK it should auto detect the operating system, so `--osinfo` should not be needed?

In my Leap 15.5 xml data is: `<libosinfo:os id="http://opensuse.org/opensuse/15.5"/>`

@AbhishekReddy Hi, I’m guessing `--os-variant` should be `leap155`

There is no supported migration of CentOS to openSUSE. You would need to install a new openSUSE machine then manually migrate data and services to it.

@AbhishekReddy Why not look at just moving to SUSE Liberty Linux instead?

@malcolmlewis SUSE Liberty will be like a repo server to patch RHEL/CentOS servers.
but, our requirement is, we have multiple centOS servers, planning to migrate to SUSE [OpenSUSE or SLE]

@AbhishekReddy Then I would go for SLE and talk with your SUSE Partner on a proper migration strategy (If even possible). Else as indicated by @smflood your going to have to do a fresh install and migrate your services/data over…
