# Dev environment with VirtualBox

Hi,  
I am attempting to setup my dev environment with Harvester using the virtualBox approach ([Setting Up Harvester Development Environment · harvester/harvester Wiki · GitHub](https://github.com/harvester/harvester/wiki/Setting-Up-Harvester-Development-Environment#install-harvester))  
This path does not work since the installer using v1.0.3 iso image gets stuck with the log  
`"Extracting file run.sh to /usr/local/tmp.xxx/run.sh"`

Any pointers on how to solve this and debug it further?

Also, is there a better option to run harvester locally in dev mode?
