# Encryption

Has anyone used FreeOTFE? I need to send some data to a user by post on CD.

Haven’t used that, but I’ve used this in the past when I needed to send  
a USB hard drive containing sensitive data to a vendor.

Seconded - however, unless you _need_ it to be a mountable drive image,  
often its easier to just use [www.7-zip.org](https://www.7-zip.org) to make a self-extracting,  
self-decrypting AES256 archive out of the data.
