Hi staff,
i’ve bought one laptop HP with SLED (11.2) pre-installed.
Now, i’ve one Epson Stylus SX110 and i’ve installed the Avasys driver (64bit, celeron): [http://download.ebz.epson.net/dsc/du/02/DriverDownloadInfo.do?LG2=IT&CN2=&DSCMI=16842&DSCCHK=2d133f20224985baf11002387bad1faff30bef08](http://download.ebz.epson.net/dsc/du/02/DriverDownloadInfo.do?LG2=IT&CN2=&DSCMI=16842&DSCCHK=2d133f20224985baf11002387bad1faff30bef08)

the printer now print, but often it’s hang even after a few minutes of activity and the on/off led blink.

Do you know this problem?

Hi
If you look down in /var/log and look through the log files, else
connect to the cups server [http://localhost:631](http://localhost:631) to see if you can see
it pausing.

You could try re-building the src rpm to see if that may help.

I am not sure rebuilding the RPM will solve the issue. You may contact he person behind the Epson driver.

Anyway, to rebuild a source RPM :

```auto
rpmbuild --rebuild /tmp/mypackage.src.rpm
```

Just change the file location.

Arnaud

ok, i’ve found the problem: Openoffice.

If i print one pdf, or one image, or another kind of file, the printer goes well.

now left to understand why …
thanks again

Thanks for the feedback. Usually, LibreOffice comes with SLED 11 SP2 : why do you still use OpenOffice ?

Also, I found LibreOffice somewhat not as good as I wanted. There are still commercial apps around that are more compatible with MS Office. If you don’t want to pay, FreeOffice should be available before the end of the year.
