Hey Lance! I just completed testing and decided to go with OES Linux. One thing that draws me in is ‘salvage’. Really makes a very handy recovery tool that you just don’t find an equivalent with other NOS. I unfortunately have not worked for anyone who needed OES, many have used SLES and I helped migrate a retailer from running RedHat to a fully SLES environment. It is very stable and easy to manage. I now work for a cloud company and they are more Ubuntu focussed for their workhorses with other OS’s running on top of that. I am sure you will have a good time getting to grips with OES. YAST is your friend. Lance ---

And I agree…salvage is a great tool. I tell my users to check that before coming to me for a restore from backup. I rarely need to go to my backups due to user errors because of salvage.
