# Hipersockets on SLES11

Hi all,  
We have just installed SLES11 + SP1 under z/VM 5.4 but the hipersockets  
network doesn’t seem to work on SLES11. Has any of you experienced the  
same problem?

sysctl -p | grep rp\_filter | grep -v arp  
for any that appear ‘1’, edit /etc/sysctl.conf and change it to ‘0’ then run  
sysctl -p (again) to update the system form sysctl.conf and  
try pinging the hipersocket
