# Host ip keeps on changing

i have notice that the host IP keeps on changing to 172.17.0.1 suddenly for e.g below

if i am working with the containers and loadbalancers, it will change suddenly. then i have to shutdown and reboot the server again…

192.168.254.1 changes to 172.17.0.1

after change i cant seem to use loadbalancer

note: i am installing ubuntu image stack for my infrastructure

my current setup docker 1.13.1 \> rancher 1.5.6 stable ; running in local environment

please help thank you

its seems i found a solution to my problem 🙂 i will monitor if the problem still persist…

seems the problem persist… i tried putting the host ip in the local host file e.g

192.168.254.x localhost

it still continue changing from 192.168.254.x to 172.17.0.1

any help?
