# Host port mapping

Is there a workaround or planned fix for the current limitation of 1 instance/machine with randomized ports?  
I found [this post](http://forums.suse.com/t/multiple-instances-of-a-service-on-a-single-host/1901/3), but it’s unclear if this is being worked on.

We want to run a large number of apps running from a small number of hosts, and do not want to use Rancher’s load balancer (yet)

@bengerman without using Rancher’s load balancer, I don’t think there is a good work around. The issue (I believe) is being discussed here:
