# How to create a stack using Rancher API

Hi, I’m new to Rancher. Could anyone help me to create a stack using Rancher API. I can able to activate/deactivate/delete stack through API(executing command through linux terminal). if you would please share any docs.

I’m using Rancher version v1.6.28
