# Meltdown, Spectre patch for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12?

Hi,
Does Meltdown and Spectre patch for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP1 exist?
I cannot see much for 12 SP1 at SUSE dedicated site for these issues.
Seems like patches for 12 SP2 and 3 are ready. Do they plan to release also patches for 12 SP1 or not?

If you have LTSS then you’ll get an patch for SLES12SP1 otherwise you need to upgrade to SP2 atleast.

How can I find out is my system is: LTSS?
This is what I find in /etc/os-release and there is no such detail.
```auto
cat /etc/os-release
NAME="SLES"
VERSION="12-SP1"
VERSION_ID="12.1"
PRETTY_NAME="SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP1"
ID="sles"
ANSI_COLOR="0;32"
CPE_NAME="cpe:/o:suse:sles:12:sp1"
```

Never had LTSS so I don’t know but my guess is that there would be a LTSS update channel/repo ( zypper repos ) and I highly doubt you have ltss since I believe it’s quite expensive.

Given that Long Term Service Pack Support (LTSS) is an additionally
charged option I think you would know if you had it or not - see

What do “rpm -qa \*release” and “zypper lr” output?
