# menu.lst file is missing

I have 4 servers all of them SLES 11 sp2.  
On one of them the menu.lst file is missing.  
How can i restore or create it the missing file.

Hi Moti,

if that server is using grub (and not grub2, which has a different configuration mechanism), you either may copy (and properly adjust) the file from one of the other servers, or use YaST to create a new boot configuration (“System” - “Boot loader”).

PS: And if nothing else works, restore the file from the server backup I’m sure you have 😛

Inhomogeneous installations are just to keep the admins awake and attentive 😉

Error 15 : File not found for all below commands

find /boot/grub/stage1

or

find /boot/grub/stage2

cannot run configfile or cannot see menulist

only get the grub? prompt.

any help?
