I used to to have such an animal, now I need an updated program but the
Darkside bought them out and I don’t want to feed M$.

What do you folks recommend, besides fdisk?

## Linux commands - cp is copy and scp is secure copy (cp over SSH).

I’d like to do that, but this is for home use.

No reason you can’t use it at home.
It’s a stand-alone program.
There is always the licensing issue, but if you have legal access to it,
its should work fairly well.

Ever heard of WinSCP (a Windows GUI that can do scp) or Cygwin
(Linux-like environment for Windows that gives you cp command\*)?

- or you create a command or batch file (or even alias) to give you cp =
copy!

Something else to investigate. So many things mentioned here, but not
enough time.

WinSCP is a great program… I still use Windows XP as my desktop and
prefer a graphical environment.

WinSCP allows me to access my Linux files in the same way that Windows
Explorer provides access to my Window’s files. I can browse,
drag-and-drop, and double-click to open a file in a Notepad-like window

- and it’s fast.

Once WinSCP has been configured to use a certificate for
authentication, I no longer need to provide a userid/password. I just
launch the program and I’m ready to start browsing.
