# Rancher Ingress cert issue

Hello  
For an unknown reason rancher expose his own certificate in ingress intead of the one I specified :

I’ve generated another certificate with same methode and it worked, but I can’t understand why it doesn’t work for this one.

Please supply exact steps to reproduce, and what version you are using. Also share the certificate details (`openssl x509 -in cert.pem -noout -text`) for both the working and not working one. Did it never work, did it start failing at some point?

You do need to enter the host/donation to match to use that certificate, it’s empty in your screenshot and not matching anything would be a good reason to give you the default fake cert.
