# Rancher Server user permissions

Is there a documentation about the permissions the user get by user type restricted?

I’m interested in restricted users

- Is a restricted user able to restart containers.
- A restricted user shouldn’t be able to add / remove / delete containers or stacks.

Anyone tested it out or found a detailed documentation / explanation about?

Restricted user also can delete / add containers and stacks, but is restricted to the environment hosts without editing the hosts itself…

Would it possible to restrict a user to just stop / start / restart existing stacks and containers?
