Hey guys. So, I was wondering how I could make my OS stand alone, meaning I want to be able to install it on a computer that doesn’t have any OS’s installed. It works fine when I testdrive it, but when I try to save it, it saves it as .raw. I don’t know if .raw is stand alone or if I have to convert it. In the build section of SUSE Studio you can choose various output formats and build types, like LiveCD, Preload ISO, .raw files, .vmdk files, etc. Try Preload ISO as the main or an additional build type and see if that gets you anything better. – Good luck. As I recall, a preload ISO can probably also be written to a USB drive, too. The only other option would be to remove packages from the build, or to run a testdrive instance and remove components of packages you don’t need, and then incorporate those changes into the appliance.
