# Recovering From Crashed DB

I’m not exactly sure what happened, but my rancher DB apparently has crashed. Unfortunately, I had not yet set up backups on the DB either. I’m wondering what the best way to recover from this may be. I have two environments with several stacks that are still running fine, but I need to get them back in Rancher once I get the new install taken care of. That aside, I’m wondering if maybe I should just go ahead and install Rancher 2.0 and rebuild the environments.
