Hi i’m trying the SM3.

I like to make a System, shown in Target Systems, to a Managed System.

The rhncfg\* Package is installed at the Client. I marked the System and clicked “enable SUSE Manager Configuration Management”. The sate is green, no Error.
Then i go to the System (a SLES12.2) and try to run rhn\_check local.
but rhn\_check is not found.

rhncfg
rhncfg-actions
rhncfg-client
rhncfg-Management

are installed on the System.

Where can i find the rhn\_check?

Best regards
Helga

For all with the same problem like me:

Hi Helga,

thank you for sharing your problem resolution.

For the sake of our international readers:

1. rhn\_check is part of the “old” spacewalk communications stack
2. what’s shown under “Configuration Management” (within the SUSE Manager UI) applies to the “old” spacewalk stack and cannot be used in conjunction with clients configured to use Salt.

I have the exact same problem

So you cannot use configuration management with the salt client through the Suse Manager UI?
