# Spin from existing

Hi guys, I was just wondering if it is possible to create a new  
appliance in suse studio from my existing install. I have customised my  
current desktop installation to my liking but can’t remember everything  
I’ve done and would prefer to create an appliance from my install as it  
is. Many thanks.

That would be a nice feature, but I don’t think there’s a way to do this  
with studio. You might be able to generate an AutoYaST file from the  
current config, but that would probably only cover installed software and  
not configuration items.
