# SUSECon 2016 proposals/requests

I see from [http://www.susecon.com/sessions.html](http://www.susecon.com/sessions.html) that SUSE “are currently
accepting proposals for presentations, demonstrations, workshops and labs.”
Is this the “formal” Call for Papers?
How do we submit proposals?
When is the closing date?
I have an idea for a session but it needs fleshing out a bit to make
sure it’s possible (both in terms of material and time).
I’d also like to see a session I know SUSE presented during another
conference and think would be of interest at SUSECon so how can I
request that?

Call for papers closes around June 10th and you can submit proposed sessions here: [https://susecon2016.smarteventscloud.com/portal/cfp/home.ww](https://susecon2016.smarteventscloud.com/portal/cfp/home.ww) There should be more information posted on the web site in the near future.

Hi Simon,
Yes, we’re formally accepting submissions for the SUSECON Call for Papers! You know from years past that we try to get as many sessions from customers, partners and other industry experts as we can, and this year will be no different.
The link that Kim posted is the direct link to the CfP portal, but it might be easier to remember this one and then follow the prompts to the portal: [http://www.susecon.com/sessions.html](http://www.susecon.com/sessions.html).
We won’t close the Call until June 10, so you have plenty of time to think about what you’d like to present. This year when you submit your proposal, we’ll ask you to help categorize your topic into one of the three key themes of the conference:
- Delivering Zero Downtime (Business Continuity)
- Transforming IT (Data Center Modernization)
- Becoming More Agile (Business Agility)

I’m not sure which theme my session idea fits in to but I plan to submit
it - third time lucky perhaps?!

I’ve now submitted my session so now we wait!
There wasn’t a way to add further information that might be useful to
SUSE when selecting sessions (for instance like being happy to
co-present with someone from SUSE) so hopefully SUSE will ask if they’re
unsure of something.
