Hello, I’m wondering if it’s possible to switch the host name for rancher as right now it’s two levels deep (eg: [zz.xx.yy.net](http://zz.xx.yy.net)) and I’d like to move it to ([zz.yy.io](http://zz.yy.io)) as we just got the .io domain for all new automation tools at my company. I’d hate to change it in the interface and then botch up my existing hosts. Thanks. ---

Yes, you’ll need to change the host registration URL and then re-run the registration command on each of the hosts to get them to use the new URL. If you put both the old and new name in DNS then this should be minimally impactful, hosts using the old name will stay connected and you can go through them one at a time to switch to the new name. ---
