# There are no compatible templates error

Full disclosure. I am new to rancher and containers. I am not a developer - I am an IT systems guy and I am trying to build a SIEM solution using SIEMONSTER. Their build guide has me adding a catalog to rancher. When I open the catalog I get the There are no compatible templates. I have looked at many articles and most of them talk about concepts I do not understand. I do not want to build my own catalogs - I just want this one to work so I can move forward with this project.  
It appears it created the directory structure on the rancher server for the catalog and when I click the refresh ICON I get a triangle with an exclamation point, so I know there is an error. I have searched and cannot seem to figure out where the logs are located. Any ideas in plain non developer language how I can troubleshoot this?
