Hi, folks! Warmest greetings from Ireland! Since creating our new SLED15-SP1 evaluation account, Wed-18-Dec-2019, I regret report I have since been prevented from installing successfully even one single software update. Here’s what shows up as my attempted installation aborts:─ [I]Software Updates Available You have 65 new updates You have 153 new updates You have 65 new updates You have 65 new updates [SIZE=2]Update error![/SIZE] libavfilter6-3.4.2-4.12.4.x86\_64 requires libswscale4 = 3.4.2-4.12.4, but this requirement cannot be provided. libavdevice57-3.4.2-4.12.4.x86\_64 requires libavutil55 = 3.4.2-4.12.4, but this requirement cannot be provided. libavfilter6-3.4.2-4.12.4.x86\_64 requires libavresample3 = 3.4.2-4.12.4, but this requirement cannot be provided.[/I] Hmmm! This, of course, raises the obvious question: WHY cannot the above three (3) requisite, and clearly identified, packages be provided by SUSE? They would appear to be absolutely essential if, as planned, we are to be able continue using SLED15-SP1 with all new updates. Presumably, this is a package dependency issue? Folks, your most kind advice in this matter will be very much appreciated. System techspecs are as shown below. [SIZE=1]MagnifiKat[/SIZE] (aka. Hi and welcome to the Forum 🙂 Those packages come from SUSE PackageHub, a likely cause is the SUSE updates have run but the package hub packages have not rebuilt and been published yet. Use zypper if to see the repository it’s from eg; ```auto zypper if libavfilter6 Information for package libavfilter6: ------------------------------------- Repository : SLE-Module-Packagehub-Subpackages15-SP1-Pool for x86_64 SLED Name : libavfilter6 Version : 3.4.2-4.12.4 Arch : x86_64 Vendor : SUSE LLC Support Level : unsupported Installed Size : 2.4 MiB Installed : No Status : not installed Source package : ffmpeg-3.4.2-4.12.4.src zypper if libswscale4 Information for package libswscale4: ------------------------------------ Repository : SLE-Module-Desktop-Applications15-SP1-Updates for x86_64 SLED Name : libswscale4 Version : 3.4.2-4.27.1 Arch : x86_64 Vendor : SUSE LLC Support Level : Level 3 Installed Size : 502.4 KiB Installed : Yes (automatically) Status : up-to-date Source package : ffmpeg-3.4.2-4.27.1.src ``` Two different packages from the same Source package, but different builds of ffmpeg… Try a zypper ref -f to force a complete rebuild of the cache. Is ffmpeg installed? If so is in from SUSE Package Hub? ---

Hi, i have also trouble with that patch, it forced me to uninstall ffmpeg-3.4.2-4.12.4. To install that patch. Now i cannot install ffmpeg. I guess it is because ffmpeg-3.4.2-4.27.1 is not available.
