# Unable to remove a node from a cluster

Hi, I have a worker node in my dev/test cluster where unfortunately the node VM has been deleted so is no longer available.

In the Rancher Cluster \> nodes, the node shows as unavailable, however when I select it, the option to delete it from the cluster is greyed out (see image).

Any idea how I can remove it from cluster in Rancher?
