# Updates site down?

Having trouble getting some servers that aren’t using my SMT box to
update. I don’t have my SMT box using itself or my few test servers.
When I try to check for updates, I get an error:
Timeout exceeded when accessing
‘[https://nu.novell.com/repo/$RCE/path\_to\_repository/repomd.xml?credentia](https://nu.novell.com/repo/%24RCE/path_to_repository/repomd.xml?credentia)
ls=NCCcredentials’
Is the update down?

Same issues here. Updates repos are/were timing out. So I wiped out my registration and trying to re-register is failing as well.

Was having the same issue myself on another download site. Took a ten
minute break and refreshed and now it is working, so maybe that is
resolved. Possibly not, but I know an employee opened a ticket with IS&T
within this past hours so they are probably working on it as we type.

Hi
I just tried on both SLES 11 SP3 and SLED 11 SP3 with;
```auto
zypper -v ref
```
It seemed to sit at the ‘pool’ repositories for awhile but did finish
after about 5 minutes…

There was a problem at the SUSE/Novell end which was resolved before 3.45pm
GMT.
