# Windows 7 Folder Redirection.

I’ve redirected the user’s desktop on a group of Windows 7 PCs using an
Active Directory Group Policy and I’ve noticed the following:
1. When a user logs on to the PC the first time a Desktop folder is created
under C:\Users\Username and also under NewFolderLocation\Username.
2. When the user logs on and clicks on the user icon on the desktop there
are two shortcuts to the folders that were created at number 1 above.
Does anyone know how to hide the shortcut icon that points to the location
of the old desktop folder? I have hidden the entire C: drive but that did
not prevent the shortcut from showing up.
