Exclude package in SLES 15

Hi

Sometimes I need to exclude some packages for the next patching on SLES15.

I’ve tried to use the zypper locks to block them but unfortunately, when patching, the file is seen as locked and a message appears asking for user input. I cannot use this.

Does anyone know if it is possible to remove this message and input with locks? or possibly use another solution?

Thanks and best regards

@geronimo use the non-interactive switch (no confirm) see zypper patch –help for more info and switches that can be used.

In this case, the locks doesn’t function. I would have hoped that there are better solutions with Suse. In any case, thank you @malcolmlewis and I’ll try to find another way to resolve my task

SUSE Multi-Linux Manager (previously known as SUSE Manager) can handle this via content lifecycle management by applying filters.
