How to setup a dns and dhcp that a win10 machine can connect to

so in short i am a uni student i and i have been asked as a side project to create a SLES15 SP6 (SUSE) server that is a dns and dhcp etc however whenever i have tried looking up how to do it online or on the docs or even chatgpt i havent gotten anywhere which is really frustrating so would love any help or guidance on how to do this since it seems i got the dns setup but not connecting win 10 machine. would rather start from scratch so that i fully understand.

also if it matters i am trying to do this on a VM to learn and understand how it works

also sorry if this is in the wrong topic

@PEAL Hi and welcome to the Forum
It’s all in the SUSE Documentation on what to do?

DNS https://documentation.suse.com/sles/15-SP6/html/SLES-all/cha-dns.html
DHCP https://documentation.suse.com/sles/15-SP6/html/SLES-all/cha-dhcp.html

im able to “create” it per se however whenever i try connecting a winndows pc it asks for a AD DC (Active Directory Domain Controller) however i never have to state one i guess? so idk

@PEAL Keep perusing the documentation  https://documentation.suse.com/sles/15-SP6/html/SLES-all/cha-security-ad.html
