Install issue: runtime error: index out of range

Hi There,

I’am trying to install my first harverster node on and old HPE DL380 Gen9 server and getting error when selecting ‘create a new harvester cluster’ option.

I also tried the vga option at boot with harvester-v1.4.1-amd64.iso and harvester-v1.4.2-rc2-amd64-net-install.iso without luck.

Any opinion?

It’s turned out the issue is caused by the installer not detecting any storage drives. Error handling should be improved.

Diagnostic steps:

  • at the installer main menu switch to console (alt+fx)
  • login with rancher/rancher
  • lsblk
