I’d say something like the following should do it. Hopefully any required packages are still installed.
# mount /dev/sr0 /mnt
# cd /mnt/Module-Basesystem/$(arch)/
# rpm -Uvh suseconnect-ng*.rpm

Simon,
I guess now we are getting somewhere after installing the last command.
This is what we are getting.
What should I do next?
So now SUSEConnect commands should work. To start with what does SUSEConnect –status-text report?
Yes your server is not registered so you need to register.
See https://documentation.suse.com/sles/15-SP5/html/SLES-all/cha-register-sle.html#sec-register-sle-system-suseconnect for the procedure but essentially you need to run
SUSEConnect -r REGISTRATION_CODE -e EMAIL_ADDRESS
Presumably you don’t have a local SUSE (Multi-Linux) Manager/RMT/SMT server? If you do then you’ll need to do something different.
This command will also only register the Basesystem and Server Applications modules so if you need other modules and/or extensions you should check https://documentation.suse.com/sles/15-SP5/html/SLES-all/cha-register-sle.html#sec-register-sle-add-modules-cmd
Thank you so much.
It is now registered.
Thank you!
That’s great to hear. Now I’d make sure to update your server plus I’d be planning an upgrade to SLES15 SP7.
