I tried updating from SLED 15.7 to 16 following the instructions at https://documentation.suse.com/sles/16.0/html/SLES-upgrading/index.html and when I ran “zypper in suse-migration-sle16-activation” it complained that nothing provided ‘product(SLES) >= 12.3’ which was needed by the migration tool. Since my only options were to not install the migration tool (and therefore be unable to migrate) or to install it without the dependency, I opted to install it without the dependency.
The next step in the instructions is to reboot. However, it went into a permanent reboot cycle, which I broke and reverted to my SLED 15.7.
I would really like to upgrade from 15.7 to 16 instead of doing a fresh install. Thanks for any help.
