I attempted my first SLES 16 installation today. I completely agree about the storage options. This installer is TERRIBLE. I loved the SLES 15 installer. I extolled the virtues of SLES partly because I like the installer so much more than Red Hat’s. Now the reverse is true. I am going to attempt a migration from SLES 15.7 to 16.0 since my filesystems are how I like, and I cannot get what I want with the SLES 16 installer. What a shame!
