when running yast2 cli to upgrade from SLES 15-SP4 (Service Pack 4) to 15-SP6 not found repo for 15-SP6
see only repo for 15-SP4
Not sure limited for each Register code or not ?
Please kindly suggest again.
Using : SLES 15-SP4
with : BYOS ( Bring your own subscription)
Register code : when running SUSEConnect -r
result will retrieve only repo in 15-SP4 only.
Does the “BYOS” reference mean that you are looking to upgrade cloud instances?
Yes BYOS , I’m looking to upgrade cloud instance (Azure Cloud)
Whilst I’ve done a lot of SLES upgrades none have yet been of machines hosted in Azure but I believe it’s the same process (as confirmed by https://www.suse.com/c/upgrading-suse-linux-enterprise-in-the-public-cloud/).
As the blog article indicates, I would use zypper migration rather than through YaST but there is some preparation to do (which the article doesn’t cover) - see https://documentation.suse.com/sles/15-SP6/html/SLES-all/cha-update-preparation.html. Then you’re ready for the upgrade itself - see https://documentation.suse.com/sles/15-SP6/html/SLES-all/cha-upgrade-online.html#sec-upgrade-online-zypper.
